I don't have a magic solution for you but I would be happy to help you find a real one!

I understand we all have to help our selves, that is the goal most of us have. But ocassionally we find our selves in posistions we never expected. I work full time, and extra days if possible. My 22 yr. old daughter is in her last semester of nursing school. She is a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard and served a year in Iraq. If she had not gone to serve her country her schooling would be complete now and she would be working. College is paid for, but there are everyday expenses that are not covered. This being her forth and hardest semester a job (we live in a rural area of Mississippi and not many avaliable) that meets her schedule and needs has not been found. My 18 yr. old grand daughter lives with me also. She is now four months with child and the part-time job she has barely coveres her gas expense to and from work. I have been frugel with our monies, but each month I have seemed to get farther and farther behind with the necessary bills a house hold has. Some weeks I have had to choose to purchase food instead of paying the utilities on time. This month I will not be able to pay the necessities it takes to run a home, pay utilities, car insurance and have gas money for my daughter to travel the 50 mile round trip to college. I realize this is a temporary situation as my daughter will finish nursing the middle of Dec. and in the job market. But what am I to do between now and then to provide for my family? I never thought at the age of 52 I would be living below poverty level and struggling to provide for my family. There just is not enough resourses to cover our basic needs for the next two months. Is there anyone out there that can give me advice or finantial assistance for the next two months. Public assistance is not an option because of the ages of the kids. Just two months of assistance for us would get us to a place we would be totally self sufficient again. HELP A FAMILY WHO IS TRYING TO HELP THEM SELVES.

I post a message about my situation with son's father, granted money would help my situation, but I'm am looking for other women who are going through the same mess I am going through. I am not look for a benefactor, I am trying to put out a message that just because a man who decided to leave his child seven year ago because he didn't want to be a father, should not waltz into court and thinks he is doing some to benefit a child he has wronged. He only went back into court to try to reduce his child support, and make me pay for "ruining his life!" So, for those of you who think I'm trying to get a free buck out of someone think again... Yes, I am very angry, angry at the fact that our court system can't see what a few men are using the system, while there are good men who aren't getting their right met. So, if you think I hate men... think again... I want help by hearing experiences of other women who are going through the injustice of family court...

I am a 47 year old single mom of two, I am on disability, trying to finish college. What my problem is, my sons father after seven came back into his life. He lives in Seattle, we live in LA. I'm not opposed to him visiting the boy here in LA, but not in Seattle. We went to court and now my son has to travel by himself in Seattle. He had the lawyer, I did not... to make a very long story short how can I stop this? My son does not want to go. This man is a stranger. The court did give my son feelings any consideration. I there anyone out there who can give me a help? If I don't put my son these trips I will be in contempt of court.

I'm a new student and i don't have any established credit, and i am unable to get a reliable co-signer to get a non-credit based loan for school and personal expenses, i also have a chex systems block on my name preventing me from getting a bank account cause of a joint account with me on as a minor, is there anyway of getting any assiantace with these problems cause i'm really in a pickle.

hi Lulu, i really could us your help with getting a loan, i have never got a lone befor, , I need to borrow money for a lawyer, and i hurt my back at work and i have bipoler and so does my son, but i have worked with hospice, for the last three years, i have been a cna for 31 yrs, and it really hurts when you don,t have eny money coming in I get SSI $600 amoth, but thats all i have, my son girlfrien got preagent he is 17 and she is 19, and the court order child support, and my son can,t pay it so i have to and the court will not let us see the babys no DNA test was done. i really need a lawyer, i live in GA, my credits no good, i am a singel mom, P/s i love your flowers

I completley agree with you... I am NOT looking for a miracle solution..... I think that if enough people read my post and send prayers and good thoughts my way, i feel that would give me enough faith to jumpstart myself.... you know what i mean? anyway i am glad that you posted helpful hints. think that is all some people need.
